I could easily kill with my words and strike people dead, but I chose my poetic license to chill instead.

Poetic License to Chill is the stage name of published author and open mic performer Aaron Michael Sinay, born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1977. He grew up in Columbia, MD, and attended Howard Community College, from which he graduated in the spring of 2004 with an Associate’s degree in liberal arts. He also studied conversational Hebrew, Jewish literature, history, and mysticism, at Baltimore Hebrew University. His poetry is the hand that reaches into the hole he falls int in life and pulls him out.

At Poetic License to Chill, I offer a glimpse into the madness and psyche of a mental health patient on the road to recovery. Herein I’ll be providing the link to buy my writings, as well as, samples in the form of written text and open mic recordings.

Books by Poetic License to Chill

Early On

I began composing poetry years ago on custom greeting cards for family events, such as birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day. In 2004 a few months after I graduated college I published my first book of poetry.

Current

I’m currently working on my second book that I copyrighted 5 times, but I keep conceiving of new material. I perform at open mic a few times a month, too.
